Shared Action Blog Relaunches!

Welcome to the new and improved blog from Shared Action! We have relaunched our blog in order to provide you, the HIV prevention community, better service and information on current events in our community and additional information about our own services that we provide. Our mission statement, part of which as follows, has been integral to improving this blog:

“Shared Action and Shared Action HD are committed to reciprocal partnerships and equitable exchanges of knowledge and expertise essential to expanding capacity. Shared Action and Action HD believe in giving back to the HIV prevention community, the ideas, innovations and “best practices” that have identified through our Capacity Building Assistance work and our collaborations with CBOs, Health Departments, other CBA programs, and the CDC.”

We want to not only focus on giving you better information, but also fostering learning from within the community through our comment section and guest authors. Please feel free to comment and engage in discussion with fellow HIV prevention community members on the topics that emerge in the coming months. If you would like to speak more publicly about an issue or helpful information you feel would be useful to the community, also feel free to contact us and we will work with you on authoring a guest post on this blog.

Here are some of the exciting entries you have to look forward to in the coming weeks:

  • Introductions from Shared Action staff members
  • Information and visuals from HIV/AIDS prevention related conferences
  • Posts about free or low-cost resources available to your organization
  • Discussions on current events and topics in our community
  • Talks with community members who have participated in CBA
  • And much more!
